Setting Our New Global Standard in 2025: Category-Leading Sustainability Achievements Including 81% of Hard Goods Made With Recycled Stainless Steel

Stanley 1913, the global brand leader in premium food and beverage innovation, today announced a breakthrough year in its sustainability journey, surpassing its recycled stainless steel goal by 31% and avoiding an estimated 64,000 metric tons of carbon emissions in 2025 alone. Anchored by the launch of Take Back—its first consumer-facing recycling program—the brand is taking a major step toward a more circular future for the products people use every day.

 

Key 2025 Highlights Include:

 

  • Launched the Stanley 1913 Take Back Program, offering consumers a simple way to recycle products, with 96% of materials received to date in a reusable state.
  • 81% of stainless steel units produced contain recycled stainless steel, far surpassing the brand’s original 50% target by 2025.
  • Achieved recycled material certifications for our six leading product categories.
  • 13.6 million kilowatt hours of renewable solar electricity generated by manufacturing partners, advancing the shift to cleaner energy across the supply chain.
  • Contributed 2,400+ employee volunteer hours globally with a 75% participation rate by North America employees.
  • Continued investment in social entrepreneurship, welcoming 10 new grantees to the Stanley 1913 Creators Fund in 2025.

The report also highlights continued momentum in reducing the brand’s environmental footprint, achieving a 48% reduction in product-related greenhouse gas emissions per unit since 2021.

The 2026 Impact Report also details advances in values-led sourcing, ethical supply chain standards, and workplace culture. In 2025, the Stanley 1913 brand updated its Supplier Code of Conduct, incentivized renewable energy sourcing for its manufacturing partners, and strengthened supplier accountability while supporting continuous improvement. Internally, the brand launched a new vision, mission, and values and continued to see strong employee engagement.
